Advanced Performance Solutions HID Conversion Kits.

When a voltage of 20,000 Volts is applied across the HID gas bulb it
initiates an arc of ionized Xenon gas, which heats the enclosed metallic
salts to vaporization point. Once vaporization of the salts has occurred the
HID capsule (or bulb) produces its full light output.

It only takes around 4 seconds to complete the ignition process, once this has happened and the HID capsule has reached full intensity the igniter automatically shuts off. The HID inverter then maintains the correct operating maintenance voltage drawing only 35 Watts of power - yet producing double the light output of traditional 55 - 60 Watt Halogen wire filament bulbs.

This light produced is of a much shorter wavelength than the yellow light produced by halogen bulbs giving a much sharper and deeper view into the road, particularly effective in poor weather conditions.
