SKUNK2 PRO CAM SHAFTS FOR B & H SERIES MOTOR |

Skunk2 Pro-Series professional line of racing cams are designed to optimize
mid-range and top-end HP and TQ; and significantly reduce lap times. VTEC
crossover is seamless allowing for the broadest possible power band. No
other line of racing cams can even come close to the performance of the
Pro-Series line.
Pro-Series patent pending camshaft profiles dramatically improve horsepower,
torque, engine response, and valve train stability. The Pro 1 cam is the
BEST ALL-AROUND STREET CAM and dramatically improves horsepower, torque,
engine response, and valve train stability. Pro-Series camshafts feature a
seamless crossover between low and high speed cam lobes with patent pending
profiles defined by specific lobe shapes as well as specific characteristics
of lift, velocity, and acceleration. Pro-Series cams are all designed
utilizing Skunk2's proprietary Fast Ramp Technology and Amax Technology. Use
of these two technologies allows us to design aggressive camshaft profiles
that maximize area under the valve lift curve without adversely affecting
valve train stability or reliability. In fact, the use of Fast Ramp and Amax
Technologies actually makes Pro-Series camshafts more stable and less prone
to spring surge at high RPM's. Pro-Series camshafts also feature our newly
revised camshaft blanks that have increased torsional strength, improved
durability characteristics, and reduced frictional effects; all of which are
the reasons why Pro-Series camshafts are superior to all other cams.
Pro-Series camshafts are available in Pro 1, Pro 2, and Pro 3 designs.
Skunk2 Cam Stages
Pro 1: High Lift Street/Race cam designed to optimize mid-range and top end
HP and TQ. Peak power is designed to occur at factory redline. Pro 1 cams
also perform great in high-output turbo racing engines. Valve train upgrade
required. Pro-Series valve train recommended.
Pro 2: High Lift Street/Race cam designed to optimize mid-range and top end
HP and TQ. Peak power is increased and power band is moved 700rpm higher
than Pro 1. Pro-Series valve train required.
Pro 3: Extreme Street/Race cam designed to optimize mid-range and top end HP
and TQ. Peak power is increased and power band is moved 700rpm higher than
Pro 2. No other high rpm racing cam can come close to the Pro 3. Pro-Series
valve train required. |

Skunk2 Racing
camshaft profiles are designed using the
latest computerized valvetrain and modeling
techniques to maximize horsepower and torque.
Our camshafts are designed utilizing years
of racing experience. These camshaft blanks
are cast from the same foundries used by
auto manufacturers such as Toyota, Nissan,
Honda, and Mitsubishi, and utilize the latest
in Japanese chill-casting technology. Skunk2
Racing camshafts are ground to exact specification
using CNC cam grinding machines and are
subjected to hours of performance and durability
testing. Skunk2 Racing camshafts must pass
stringent quality control standards that
exceed OE requirements.
Stage I: Stage I profiles are
designed to offer the widest possible
powerband and be compatible with factory
valvetrain components. These camshafts
are designed to retain stock idle and
are currently. Upgrading to Skunk2 Racing
valve springs is recommended. Stage I
profiles are relatively easy to tune for
maximum power output.
Stage II: Stage II profiles are
more aggressive than Stage I profiles,
and are designed for modified engines
operating at higher rev ranges. Upgrading
to Skunk2 Racing valvetrain components
is required for proper operation. Stock
idle and emission characteristics may
be slightly compromised, but fair-to-good
driveability allows them to still be used
on dual-purpose vehicles. Proper tuning,
an upgraded intake system, and an exhaust
system are required in order to maximize
the potential of these camshafts. Do not
use oversized valves.
Stage III: Stage III profiles
are designed for purpose-built race engines
with high-rpm capabilities only! Upgrading
to Skunk2 Racing valvetrain components
and extensive engine work is required
for the proper functioning of these camshafts.
Compression and engine flow must also
be significantly increased. Stage III
camshafts should be installed and tuned
by professional engine builders only!
Do not use oversized valves.
Turbo: Turbo profiles are designed
for engines with forced induction. Aggressive
lift and valve opening/closing motions
allow these cams to maximize power with
a minimum amount of overlap. Each profile
is designed with extensive input from
the top racers in the sport compact industry. |
