Developed entirely with racing in mind, the Super Medalion Racing Spec series of lightweight exhaust systems make extracting the full potential of any highly-tuned engine possible. With an extensive history in developing exhaust systems for race applications in conjunction with feedback from Japan's top race teams, the Super Medalion Racing Spec achieves the ideal combination of a lightweight cat-back system with a free-flowing straight-through design for maximum performance and durability.
Racing Spec Muffler
A riveted main muffler allows the muffler section to be overhauled or to facilitate the replacement of the fiberglass packing. Special fiberglass packing is used to dissipate the exhaust reverberations and resists hardening from the extreme temperatures produced by high performance engines. An up-turned exhaust tip, as used on most race cars, gives the exhaust an aggressive rear appearance.
Complete High Quality SUS304 Stainless Steel Construction The Super Medalion Racing spec is 100% SUS304 stainless steel for maximum weight reduction and optimal durability. Stainless steel is used throughout the entire system from the exhaust hangers to the main muffler canister for enhanced appearance and increased resistance to the elements. The use of 1.2mm mandrel bent piping in a free-flowing straight-through design improves flow and decreases backpressure for optimal performance. 2.5mm or 7mm flanges are used throughout the exhaust for the various temperature sections. Argon welding is used on all of the stainless steel components. The highly polished finish of the main muffler canister compliments any vehicle's appearance.

Race proven straight-form design allows for a minimum amount of bends for maximum performance. Mandrel bent pipes are used to optimize exhaust flow.
After thorough research, the densities of the packing material are calculated to Tanabe's own specifications for the aggressive deep exhaust note.
Race Minded - Street Drivable All the benefits of a race engineered exhaust system while still street-able; all exhaust systems include a removable inner silencer baffle for quiet street operation.
